It is so hard to sort out what approach to take with foods.  And every new year, many people try to do just that.  This is why I LOVE functional nutrition.  Because we look at each person as a unique individual, so there is not a one size fits all diet approach.  We look at root causes for someone’s signs and symptoms and partner the right dietary approach, supplement plan, and lifestyle practices to help them meet their health goals.  It’s very empowering when you find that it’s not you failing the diet, but the diet failing you!
